How do I get to TCBC?

Click here to see a Google Map

We are right on Main St. (Hwy.126) in the Thurston area… 6364 Main. There is a bus stop immediately in front of our Church between 62nd Place and 65th Place.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing. Others prefer to still put on their “Sunday best,” and that’s fine too!

Where do I take my children?

We have a great kid care room just off of the foyer when you first come in. There is nursery care for birth to 5 available for the whole service time. Also, the older kids (up to 5th grade) head out to Kid’s Church about halfway through the service. Our member volunteers will take every care with your child and ensure they feel comfortable in a fun-loving atmosphere.  For the safety and security for our youngest visitors, each group of kids is guided by at least two unrelated adults.

Am I expected to participate in the Offering?

If you are visiting with us, we don’t expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to just let it pass you by. If you do choose to give, the monies will go to the standard things… to support the ongoing ministry this Church has here in Springfield and to support world missions.

What is the music like?

We recognize that we have a mix of all ages here. With this kind of age blend it seems totally appropriate to have a blend in our worship and praise music too. So if you love hymns, you’ll get some of that. If you love the newer style worship songs (Tomlin, Redman, etc.) we got you covered there too! Currently we are mostly guitar driven (occasionally with drums) and keyboard for the contemporary songs. And we feature piano a little more when we are singing hymns. Our church folks like to sing it out pretty good and we’d love to add your voice to the mix!

What Bible do you use?

Pastor Mike preaches from the ESV, and that is what we have for “pew bibles” placed in the room. Most folks bring their own and any given Sunday, there are likely NAS, NIV, NKJV, and KJV in the room.
